Los Angeles (March 13, 2017) – Firepower Records is beyond stoked to announce that Kompany’s forthcoming release, Kill Humans, is set to drop on March 31st, and it’s straight murderous. From the shadows of anonymity to the halls of the esteemed Icon Collective Music Production School, Kompany has devoted his life to perfecting the craft of bass music production. Hailing from the bucolic town of Temecula, California, Kyle Hagberg grew up with drumsticks in his hands and a skateboard under his feet. He was an early devotee of bass music revolutionaries Datsik and Skrillex, and if this EP says anything about Kompany’s production prowess, it’s that he’s on his way to earning a spot alongside those prestigious producers.
The title track, “Kill Humans” is vicious in all the right ways. A sinister introduction plows right into a massive drop. The tone is set—dark and heavy and bloody. “Kill Humans” hits the listener hard, but it’s the intricate sound designs creeping through the track that supplies it with its power. Kompany’s attention to detail pays off here, and the track is loaded with sound constructions that send this tune into the stratosphere.
“Creepin’” toys with a future bass topline, but just as the euphoria sets in, Kompany pummels the listener with a pulverizing trapstyle drop. The sub bass is a killer here, too, like a silent assassin creepin’ in the shadows waiting to strike without warning. In “Arcadia”, a track he produced with TYNVN, he briefly sensationalizes the melody again, and it reaches deep inside the emotional core that lives deep inside every true raver’s heart. It doesn’t last long, though, and a scorching synth tears through the braincase. The track hits level 1000 head bang territory without warning.
Kompany’s greatest strength with this EP may be his ability to present the listener with incredibly lucid audio imagery through his cinematic soundscapes. Squaring out the EP is “At Em”, another stroke of bass production genius and a perfect end to the story of this EP. The track takes the listener down through the subterranean worlds where bass originated. Dark and murky, the track moves along in shadows until it drops into head bang territory. A razor-sharp synth pulses through and rattles the brain, and you’re left satisfied. Dizzy, but satisfied.

Pre-Order Chimes From Fairies to Fire here: bit.ly/FFTFpre
We love good EP titles at Firepower Records. Tell us a bit about the title of the EP, From Fairies to Fire.
Well the EP is very much a step in the direction of a heavier sound to what people know me for, so I wanted to refer to that in the title. I also think it represents my signature style as a producer – I love to put light and dark elements together into single tracks and so the EP is named in reference to Skrillex’s “Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites” that originally inspired this style.
When it comes to producing music, do you have any work habits that you think are unusual?
I work well very late at night but I’m not sure if that’s particularly abnormal. I’ve got a feeling most producers are night owls. I go into a bit of a mode when I’m working where I shut everything out to concentrate really hard and when I stop I suddenly become exhausted like I’m having a hangover or a comedown. I guess music is my equivalent of drug use?
If a movie was made about you and your life, what famous actor would you want to play you and why?
Maybe Nicholas Hoult? He plays Beast in X-Men. I think he’d do well portray some of the weird aspects about me and he’s suitably nerdy looking.
What’s your biggest pet Peeve, the biggest thing that annoys you and why?
A lot of things annoy me! I’m actually a pretty grumpy person it turns out, although I switch between moods very quickly (a bit like my music). I’d say some of my biggest annoyances would definitely be my internet cutting out or my computer running slowly. Anything that disrupts my workflow.
What track are you jamming out to the most right now?
It’s very difficult to pick just one. I guess my Lock And Load mix should basically sum up everything I love right now but if I had to choose one track it’d have to be “Saloon” by Fox Stevenson. The catchiest Dubstep track I’ve heard in a long time!

Selections were made, and those two fans will bear the responsibility for lifting the veil of secrecy on their favorite Bass Music artist.
Bear Grillz’ live performance persona has him decked out in a teddy bear outfit—complete with an over-sized head—and has allowed the man underneath to evade detection by his audiences and armies of lusty groupies for years. As the mystery of his identity grew, fans developed theories, often wildly speculative, about the dude in the bear suit. Rumors that Bear Grillz was a famous celebrity taking to the decks without the burden of public scrutiny, or that he was the Grammy award winning and bespectacled Skrillex, or that it was Datsik, the Dubstep don himself, fueled an intense and passionate devotion. No one has correctly identified him yet. With the help of these two fans, the head will come off.
In the meantime, Bear Grillz has gone on to release chart-topping tunes including his best selling tracks “EDM” and “Fuck Off”, collaborations with the producers Getter and Datsik respectively. He has released 7 EP’s on the Los Angeles based Firepower Records label and has an 8th, Mo Honey, Mo Problems, due out April 22nd. He has travelled the world, selling out major clubs from Australia to South America, and he has supported both Excision and Datsik on extravagant Bus Tour’s across the U.S.—always in costume, never revealing himself.
On May 6th, all will be revealed. Is it an A-list celebrity moonlighting as a famous DJ undercover? Could it be Skrillex in disguise? One thing’s for sure, we are either going to be very happy or very confused. But either way, we’ll keep supporting the music that makes us rage.

LOS ANGELES (November 5th, 2014) Firepower Records is thrilled to announce the release of Mayhem and Antiserum’s Karate EP, which will drop on November 18th. It’s difficult to predict the overall carnage this will leave on dance floors across the globe, but early polling is suggesting it’s going to be straight filthy.
As individual artists, Mayhem and Antiserum are formidable forces in the bass music world. Hailing from Atlanta, Mayhem has forged a bass music scene in the city and has accumulated respectable collaborations with artists such as Waka Flocka Flame, Tyga, Young Thug, Gucci Mane, and Trinidad James. With over 15 years in the studio and the decks, he has drawn the attention of industry heavyweights. Although his roots are in Drum & Bass, his discerning ear and attention to detail has made him an innovator in every genre in which he chooses to focus.
Known for his invigorating dance-floor hype, instinctive musicality, and refined music production, San Francisco based producer Antiserum perpetually defines the sound of today. It’s not surprising he’s garnered the respect of the industry’s leaders including Diplo, Skrillex and Datsik.
Karate, then, is a level of havoc above and beyond the normal doses of Mayhem and Antiserum audiences have come to expect. This three track EP begins with the title track, “Karate”, a trap infused Dubstep kick in the head. The screeching top-line seems specifically designed to test the high ends of the best festival sound systems. The track is full and satisfying, and even allows the listener to breathe for a second with a mellow, yet penetrating melody.
Following “Karate” is “Flame”, a Hip Hop inspired play on the bass music tradition. It’s a sound Firepower Records has explored lately given its versatility and ability to work dance floors into frenzies. Mayhem and Antiserum put the best of their musical brains together here, exploiting their common love of the uncommon sound design and mainlining it straight into the track. It makes sense, then, to expect their VIP version of “Trippy” to be as unique as it gets. Dipping into Hardhouse and toggling back and forth between Trap and Dubstep seems completely natural to two artists who have not only been through the evolution of all three genres, but are currently leading the charge.
The track listing for Karate is:
1. Antiserum & Mayhem – “Karate”
2. Antiserum & Mayhem – “Flame”
3. Antiserum & Mayhem – “Trippy” VIP
