“The Blastaz” comes out early with a buildup, which clearly displays both Barely Alive and Datsik’s creative sound engineering techniques. The drop reveals a heavy, swampy, and electrified rhythm, free from the more melodic overtones both Datsik and Barely Alive tend to produce. The focus is on the synth arrangement that slices its way into your skull. It’s minimal but large, and is designed to unhinge minds and infect bodies with bass.

On remix duty is Diskord, who immediately introduces a series of melodic fixtures to the track. Then all Hell breaks loose. Diskord maneuvers the track into a heavy Trap anthem by continuing to maintain the melody. He adds a creative Hip Hop drum kit to fill in the gaps and let’s fly with all sorts of Trap madness. The remix keeps the aggressive filth of the original while placing it into the Trap style. The result is a festival banger that would work in all kinds of playlists and on all kinds of stages.
