Compilation – Firepower Records http://firepowerrecords.com Thu, 26 Oct 2017 15:46:40 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=6.9.4 BRAND NEW VOLUME OF “FLATLINE” COMPILATION DROPPING NOVEMBER 17TH http://firepowerrecords.com/brand-new-volume-of-flatline-compilation-dropping-november-17th/ http://firepowerrecords.com/brand-new-volume-of-flatline-compilation-dropping-november-17th/#respond Thu, 26 Oct 2017 15:44:58 +0000 http://firepowerrecords.com/?p=3038 PRE-ORDER FLATLINE

Firepower Records is set to release the 7th installment of our Flatline Compilation on November 17th, 2017, and it features a squadron of next generation battle-ready bass bombardiers. Since its inception, the Flatline Compilation has featured the brightest and most diverse new talents emerging in the bass music world. Don’t be fooled—the names you see on the track list may be new, but one spin of the track and it’s clear these artists are wise beyond their years.

First up is Felmax and Purge with “Gangsta” and it’s a trippy Trapstyle heater. Deep sub-bass structures roll underneath a sinister series of nightmarish synth stabs. The expert lyricism haunts the tune, and as the massive drop hits, you’re already trapped in a gangsta’s bad dream.

Noya comes out swinging with “Sanctum”. A filthy dub-riddim hybrid beat is punctuated with a scorching synth construction designed to level entire city blocks. There are sections of this tune powerful enough to brings dance floors to their knees instantaneously, which makes this track a must-have set-list weapon.

Blaqout’s “Filthy Friend Switch” reveals a producer in complete control over his production abilities. No surprise there, he’s been crushing the bass music game for a while now. This tune is immensely creative, technically complex, and proves Blaqout is ready for the main stage.

Orii is not playing around when it comes to “Vicious”. With years of professional production mastery under his belt, ORII recently switched gears and is investing his encyclopedic knowledge and phenom-level talent into bass music—this tune is the result. Microscopic in his approach to track engineering, the tune goes through multiple iterations of bass music vibes and ultimately lands on a metal-inspired double up designed to ignite crowds into a frenzied madness.

The tracklisting for Flatline Volume 7:

  1. Felmax & Purge – “Gangsta”
  2. Noya – “Sanctum”
  3. Blaqout – “Filthy Friend Switch”
  4. ORII – “Vicious”

Firepower Records to Release Flatline Compilation Volume 6 http://firepowerrecords.com/firepower-records-to-release-flatline-compilation-volume-6/ http://firepowerrecords.com/firepower-records-to-release-flatline-compilation-volume-6/#respond Mon, 12 Jun 2017 05:18:36 +0000 http://firepowerrecords.com/?p=2841 Pre-Order Firepower’s Flatline Compilation Volume 6 here: https://VA.lnk.to/flatline6

Los Angeles (June 12, 2017) Firepower Records is set to release the 6th installment of our Flatline Compilation on June 30th, 2017, and it’s filthier than ever. Since its inception, the Flatline Compilation has featured the brightest and most diverse new talents emerging in the bass music world. Many of our featured artists have since moved on to land record deals with us and find themselves on the world’s largest festival stages. Don’t be fooled—the names you see on the track list may be new, but one spin of the track and it’s clear these artists are wise beyond their years.

Carbin’s “GOMD” featuring Trvma is filthy right out the gate and pushes a Riddim style beat structure. The track rages through various synth arrangements and a sinister vocal sample pulses along with the intention of causing involuntary head nods. The track shifts mid-stream, and that head nod gets real aggressive, real quick.

Next, Cherney comes through with his classic dub anthem “Fatal Fury”. The dubstyle vocals lace the track with a throwback reggae vibe, but as the drop hits, everything goes ballistic. Cherney cleverly cycles through an electric guitar riff that adds a level of complexity to the tune.

Chompa’s “Fed Up” follows the compilation’s dub reggae vibe, but the chill tone is demolished almost immediately with a heavy AF dubstep beat and pulverizing synth engineering. The track rests for a moment, allowing the listener to catch their breath, but the pressure is quickly reapplied, and there’s no escaping its grip.

Squaring out the compilation is KTRL. His tune “Reign” reveals a producer with a mastery of the craft. The tune moves through a number of classic examples of bass music wizardry, and KTRL proves his engineering prowess with the use of intricate sound designs placed perfectly through the track.

Tracklist for Flatline Volume 6:

  1. Carbin – “GOMD” (feat. Trvma)
  2. Cherney – “Fatal Fury”
  3. Chompa – “Fed Up”
  4. KTRL – “Reign”

Firepower Records to Release Flatline Compilation Vol. 3 http://firepowerrecords.com/firepower-records-to-release-flatline-compilation-vol-3/ http://firepowerrecords.com/firepower-records-to-release-flatline-compilation-vol-3/#comments Tue, 16 Feb 2016 15:46:52 +0000 http://firepowerrecords.com/?p=2240 Los Angeles (February 16th) – Firepower Records is back with another massive Flatline Compilation, and, once again, the sonic weaponry assembled here proves the premise at the core of our philosophy: there’s no such thing as too much Firepower.

The question becomes “what do you do when you have a surplus of so much bass?” You bundle it all together and light it up. And that’s exactly what we did with these four choice tracks from some established firepower fam members and some artists fresh to the label. This collection exhibits our desire for the deeper, minimal, less mainstream and more underground sounds, and it challenges listeners to think twice about entrenching so hard in any particular part of the Bass music spectrum. We are therefore proud to announce the much anticipated 3rd volume of our Flatline Compilation.

Starting the compilation is a scorching VIP cut of “Recon” from two of Firepower’s most prolific producers—Protohype and PhaseOne. Chances are good you lost your mind to the original when it dropped on our Shellshock Legends compilation in May of last year. Turbocharge it, attach a jet engine to it, and you’ll come close to an idea of what this VIP might sound like. It’s all energy. Did you expect anything less from two of the most energetic producers in the bass music game?

It’s an honor to have Jarvis with us on the compilation. Last year, a call went out to remix Datsik’s global banger “Katana” from his Down 4 My Ninjas EP, and Jarvis answered the call in a fury we didn’t expect. “I’m on fire” showcases that talent. He displays an impressive range of production techniques, a clean vocal sample, and a diverse beat sequence. His synth layering shows a clear ear for musicianship, and his ability to construct a wall of sound makes this track festival ready right out the door. Expect big things from this up-and-comer.

We’re also stoked to have Zetta and 12th Hour with us on the compilation. “Ice Shield” is a heavy, buzzsaw-to-the-braincase track loaded to the max with enough audio ammo to re-calibrate even the most advanced soundsystems. Eerie and sinister, the track is a foot to the throat that only let’s up enough to let you breathe before it slams you again.

Krimer rounds out the compilation with “Bone Crusher”. We’ve been waiting a long time to get Krimer’s music out to the world, and given the insanity this track brings, the wait was worth it. The beat is frenetic yet fluid, never at ease with settling in. The synth is playfully aggressive, a kind of masochistic impulse that hurts so good. There’s a creative mind at work here, and the unique sound designs show a producer pushing the barriers of bass music.

The tracklist for Flatline Vol. 3 is:

  1. Protohype and PhaseOne – “Recon” (VIP)
  2. Jarvis – “I’m on Fire”
  3. Zetta and 12th Hour – “Ice Shield”
  4. Krimer – “Bone Crusher”
